چکیده
Photocatalytic technology is considered as one of the most attractive and promising technologies to directly harvest, convert store renewable solar energy for generating sustainable green a broad range environmental applications. However, use photocatalyst in powder or coating forms restricts its applications due disadvantages, such difficulty recovery nano-powder, secondary pollution, low adhesion between photocatalytic substrate material, short service life film so on. The investigation application glass-ceramics (PGCs) water purification, bacterial disinfection, self-cleaning hydrogen evolution have received extensive attention their inherent advantages cost, easy fabrication, transparency, chemical mechanical stability. Real-time solutions shortage pollution faced by development human society can be provided rationally designing composition preparation methods glass ceramics (GCs). This review introduces concept crystallization mechanism PGCs expounds on basic photocatalysis. Then, key point difficulties GCs’ design are discussed, mainly including obtaining transparency controlling technologies. Different modification strategies achieve better activity highlighted. Finally, we look forward further in-depth exploration research more efficient suitable various

This article is a review of the published literature on apatite glass-ceramics (GCs). Topics covered include crystallization mechanisms of the various families of apatite GCs and an update on research and development on apatite GCs for applications in orthopedics, dentistry, optoelectronics, and nuclear waste management. Most apatite GCs crystallize through a homogenous nucleation and crystalli...
متن کاملA bright future for glass - ceramics
G lass-ceramics were discovered – somewhat accidently – in 1953. Since then, many exciting papers have been published and patents granted related to glass-ceramics by research institutes, universities and companies worldwide. Glass-ceramics (also known as vitrocerams, pyrocerams, vitrocerâmicos, vitroceramiques and sittals) are produced by controlled crystallization of certain glasses – general...
متن کاملPREPARATION OF Fe/GLASS COMPOSITE BY REDUCTION OF Na2O– Fe2O3–B2O3–SiO2–ZnO GLASS AND GLASS CERAMICS
In the present study, the feasibility of α-Fe ferromagnetic phase formation in glass and glass-ceramic by reduction in hydrogen atmosphere have been investigated. The glass with the composition of 35Na 2 O–24Fe2O3–20B 2O3 – 20SiO 2 –1ZnO (mol %) was melted and quenched by using a twin roller technique. As quenched glass flakes were heat treated in the range of 400-675 °C for 1-2 h in h...

A brief review is focused on laser micromachining of materials. Micromachining of materials is highly widespread method used in many industries, including semiconductors, electronic, medical, automotive, communication and aerospace. This method is a promising tool for material processing with micron and submicron resolution. In this paper micromachining of glass, silicon and ceramics is conside...
متن کاملGlass-ceramics: Their Production from Wastes. a Review
Glass-ceramics are polycrystalline materials of fine microstructure that are produced by the controlled crystallisation (devitrification) of a glass. Numerous silicate based wastes, such as coal combustion ash, slag from steel production, fly ash and filter dusts from waste incinerators, mud from metal hydrometallurgy, different types of sludge as well as glass cullet or mixtures of them have b...
